Sashi De
Two decades in front of the camera and behind it — creator and host of Maximum Foodie, and the producer who built SD Media around it.
Sashi De has produced and presented non-fiction television for two decades, with credits across Discovery, HBO Max, Asian Food Network, InsightTV and broadcasters in more than 60 territories.
He is the creator and host of Maximum Foodie, now in its seventh season — a global culinary series built around the chefs redefining what food can be, from Michelin-starred kitchens and Asia's 50 Best to the cooks who never get written up. As Executive Producer he has led series for Discovery Asia, where Road Less Traveled ran six seasons and sixty-eight hours, and for Hearst Television in the US.
He currently executive produces 48 Hours for RTL Germany with WildBear Entertainment, and Titan with Quintus Studios for Maersk.
He founded SD Media in 2011 on a straightforward premise: that a small, senior team working with trusted local crews could make international factual at a standard and a cost that larger companies could not match. Fifteen years and 112.5 hours later, the model is unchanged. He works from the field, most of the year.
