UNBRIDGED: 7641 | PHILIPPINES

6x60' 4K | HDR

One man, two wheels, and the world’s most fractured landmasses. Unbridged is a raw, high-octane expedition series that conquers massive archipelagos. Nowhere in broadcast history has the vast canvas of such spread-out nations been cataloged with this level of fine-tooth precision. We are navigating chaotic ferries and extreme topographies to unroot deep anthropological threads, explore visceral food cultures, and dive headfirst into the unfiltered reality of modern life across nations divided by the sea.

Season 1

Philippines and it's 7641 islands

A 2,000-mile gauntlet down the perilous Nautical Highway—from the typhoon-swept cliffs of the VERY north of Philippines (Batanes) through the ethereal rice terraces, to the southern most tip of the ancient maritime edge of Tawi-Tawi.

THE CONCEPT

A Journey Never Before Attempted on Television.

Unbridged is an endurance challenge meets cultural excavation, custom-built for a multi-season rollout across the globe’s most complex island nations. The first seasons launches in the Philippines:  Never before has the sheer scale and fine-grained detail of such a spread-out nation like the Philippines  been captured and cataloged in a single, continuous traverse. We are bypassing the tourist beaches to ride the central spines of this island strewn nation. To travel these fractured archipelago end-to-end means navigating chaotic megacities, surviving dizzying mountain passes, and surrendering to unpredictable Ro-Ro (Roll-on/Roll-off) ferries. Along the way, we embed with indigenous tribes, explore the visceral anthropology of local food festivals, and experience the modern, unfiltered culture of this one of a kind nation.

EPISODE ARC (The 6-Part Traverse)

  • Episode 1: The Typhoon Islands (Batanes to North Luzon) Starting at the edge of the world with the stone houses of the Ivatan people. We cross the rough Luzon Strait, ride into the Cordillera mountains, learn the Ifugao way of life in the fabled rice terraces, and embed with the Kalinga headhunter tribes, exploring the heavy remnants of WW2 in the northern jungles.

  • Episode 2: Concrete & Ash (Central Luzon to Manila) Navigating the volcanic ash trails of Mt. Pinatubo before hitting the sheer chaos of Metro Manila. We dive into the underground motorcycle culture of the capital and the culinary anthropology of the world's most densely populated city.

  • Episode 3: The Nautical Highway (Batangas to Panay) The reality of archipelagic travel kicks in. We wrestle the bike onto aging ferries, jumping between islands. We explore Spanish colonial history, visceral food festivals, and the sugar baron mansions of the central Visayas.

  • Episode 4: The Belly of the Beast (Cebu to Negros) Riding through the economic heart of the central islands. We explore the WW2 resistance histories hidden in the mountains, dive into the fierce culinary rivalries (the quest for the ultimate lechon), and navigate treacherous coastal mountain roads.

  • Episode 5: The Frontier (Northern Mindanao) Crossing into Mindanao, an island rich in resources and plagued by outdated stereotypes. We ride through pristine Islamic heritage sites, uncovering the ancient trading roots of the region and the incredible, spice-heavy food anthropology that separates it from the north.

  • Episode 6: The Edge of the Map (Zamboanga to Tawi-Tawi) The final, most dangerous, and most beautiful leg. Riding to the absolute southern tip, we meet the Badjao sea gypsies, explore the oldest mosques in the country, and reflect on the survival, grit, and beauty of crossing 7,641 islands on two wheels.

Sashi De isn’t just a presenter parachuted into an adventure; he is a 20-year veteran of the tarmac and the lens. Unbridged: 7641 is the ultimate convergence of his life's work—fusing two decades of hardcore adventure motorcycling with his elite-level production logistics as a globe-trotting filmmaker & presenter.

The Rider: Sashi has spent the last 20 years testing the limits of two wheels across the globe. He has wrestled motorcycles up the highest motorable roads on the planet, carved through the sheer, perilous drops of Montenegro, battled the biting coastal gales of Ireland, and endured the grueling, unpredictable expanses of South America. He knows the mechanical and physical friction of living out of a pannier and is equally comfortable dragging knee and elbows at 120mph on a race track.

The Filmmaker & Presenter: With a career spanning 50+ countries, Sashi brings the logistical firepower of a veteran showrunner boasting a 130-hour global catalog. He possesses the unique ability to deliver premium, blue-chip visuals in run-and-gun environments. On camera, his work fronting Maximum Foodie has honed an immersive, commanding hosting style that dives straight into the visceral anthropology and cultural grit of a destination.

The Perfect Vehicle | Unbridged: 7641 is the ultimate stress test of Sashi’s dual expertise. It requires the relentless endurance of a seasoned rider and the precise, logistical mind of a producer who can manage 4K HDR deliverables while strapped to the deck of an aging Ro-Ro ferry. Furthermore, his long-term residency and deep local ties in the Philippines provide unprecedented, authentic access. This is his defining expedition—designed to tear the pristine postcard image of the archipelago in half and reveal the raw, unbridged reality underneath.
