From trying out what the bustling city’s vibrant street food scene has to offer, to the lesser known gems, including, venturing into India’s only Chinatown and sampling their delicacies. A tale of walking food tours, hole in the wall joints serving up North Eastern dumplings, messy fish markets, and of course, the pride of Bengal, the Hilsa fish. Is Kolkata up to par with the other major metropolitan cities of India? This episode finds out exactly that!

MAXIMUM FOODIE: SEASON 1: EPISODE 4: Nevada: What else is there in Nevada for foodies besides Vegas? This investigative mission starts off in the sin city atmosphere of the Vegas strip. After a gluttonous stint at a generic buffet, Liesel is inspired to do a road trip to find iconic gems in the state of Nevada. From ghost towns, to monstrous foodie challenges, to hole in the wall dive bars in the middle of nowhere, this trip has it all. Liesel finds the resurgence of Basque cuisine in Northern Nevada, and learns that Reno can do fine dining as well! A trip to Virginia city also reveals that the Silver State has some haunted bars where patrons from the 1800s are rumored to be still imbibing and spooking locals! It’s a road trip in every sense of the word!

The region of Emilia Romagna is lush with gentle rolling hills where time honored ingredients like truffles, olives, and vast vineyards can be found. To understand the food of this region, Max Foodie explores the quaint sea-side town of Rimini and the hugely impressive Bologna. It's a tale of discovering local foodie passion that allows our host to hunt for truffles and try her hand in making her own gelato, a the world’s only Gelato University!
